Coverage of 2009 Flu Shots for those with a Group Wellness Benefit
Your group wellness benefit covers wellness services when provided by preferred providers. This year, many preferred providers are unable to provide seasonal flu vaccines due to the demand for the vaccine. This flu season, Pekin Life Insurance Company will cover the charge for administering a flu shot by a non-preferred provider under your wellness benefit (as long as you have not already used all of your wellness benefit for the year). This will include flu shots administered at local pharmacies. You will need to provide us with an itemized bill from the provider that clearly indicates the date of service, the name of the patient, the service provided, and the charge for the service.
