Health Insurance:
Effective after 90 days of employment. Provides both employee and dependent coverage, with PPO discounts.
Life Insurance:
Available after 90 days of employment and free to employees. Provides two times annual salary coverage.
Dental Insurance:
Available to employees and dependents.
Vision Care:
Fully insured program with VSP at low cost to employees and dependents.
Pension Plan:
Defined benefit plan at no cost to employee. Effective after one year of employment and 21 years of age. Vested after five years of employment.
401(k) Plan:
Employee service of one year and 18 years of age. Vested on employer match contributions after three years.
Stock Option:
Pekin Life Insurance Company stock available with payroll deduction on an after tax basis.
Section 125:
This pre-tax benefit is available for employee premium payments on company health plan; dependent care; and eligible medical/vision care reimbursement.
Holiday Pay:
Pekin Insurance offers employees 9 paid holidays per year.
Vacation:
Eligible employees earn paid vacation upon hire date, and receive maximum of 20 days off after 15 years of continuous service.
Personal Days:
Employees can earn an additional paid time off based on years of service. Maximum of five days after five continuous years of service.
PC Loan:
Pekin Insurance offers employees no-interest loans to purchase a computer for home use.
Tuition Assistance:
Pekin Insurance reimburses employees for eligible college courses towards business related degrees.
Professional Designations:
Pekin Insurance offers and rewards employees for achieving insurance designations.
Employee Discounts:
Employees are eligible to receive discounts for automobile and homeowners insurance coverage with Pekin Insurance.
Employee Assistance:
Pekin Insurance offers its employee and family members of immediate household for counseling services provided at no cost for initial counseling sessions on issues such as parenting, elder care, substance abuse, financial problems, mental health, and legal issues.
